The space derby is a racing event for Cub Scouts, similar to the pinewood derby car race. Cub Scouts build and race miniature balsa wood rockets that are propelled by a rubber band and propeller.

Space Derby kits were handed out at our Feb Pack meeting. If you did not get one, please let Brandie know.
The Space Derby kits need to be 'built' (sapped, assembled and painted) by you and your Cub. We 'may' be able to offer a workshop to help assemble, and shape your kits, but this is tentative and will depend on volunteers willing to help. Watch your emails for more info. If you are a volunteer who would be willing to help or host a workshop - let me know ASAP. The kits are not really hard to make, but it is always nice to have help. The Space Derby's need to be ready by 4/30th meeting. Kits are also for sale for siblings, again, check with Brandie.
